Give us a little introduction about yourself; like who are you, what’s your personality, where do you live, what do you do, etc.

My name is Veronika and I am the blogger behind Venkavision. I am a recent fashion marketing graduate from London but originally I am from Budapest, Hungary. My blog is a personal style blog but I also blog about trends and other fashion advice.

Can you give us three words to describe your style?

This is the most difficult question to answer, because I always go with my feelings.  Dressing for me is an instinct I can’t analyze.

Since when did you know that you want to work in fashion? Has it always been a life-long dream to be a fashion blogger/stylist/personal shopper?

I have always loved fashion. I used to sew my Barbie’s clothes. I always liked it but for long I prepared for a career in economics. It was a sudden decision to change and study fashion marketing instead. Then over the years I realized what my strengths were within fashion, like giving advice and analyzing trends.

Who takes your photos? Do you take your own pictures or hire a photographer?

Depends on where I am, but mainly it’s my London flatmate and friend of 22 years, Judit (http://bigcitylifebyjucy.blogspot.co.uk/). Judit studies photography so it’s a good practice for her too. When I travel I look for new photographers and then work with them. My recent favorites were BenedekVarga (http://www.vargabenedek.hu/) &BarbiVasonyi.

Who is your fashion inspiration and what are your favorite fashion brands?

I can’t name one person, I love looking at street style in general for inspiration. I look anywhere on the internet and if I like a detail I will try to incorporate it into my own looks. I love young designer brands the most because they have an edge and something very new and unique about them like Nubu, but I love well established luxury brands like GiambattistaValli& Tom Ford because of their beautifully crafted quality pieces. I also love the new t-shirt brands (http://venkavision.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/t-shirts.html) that have gained much attention over the past couple of years.

You’ve studied in England for quite a while. Are there any British people that you were inspired by?

I’ve been living in London for five years and it is inspiring in itself, especially having worked in many famous fashion companies. I would suggest people looking for inspiration in London, to go to fashion boutiques and look at the stylists/sales people. I love how stylists at Browns Boutique (http://www.brownsfashion.com/) dress.

Which fashion item that suits you the most?

Because I am shorter I think that heels, pointy toes and high-waist items fit me the best!

If you could travel through time, which era of time would you want to go?

My favorite time in fashion is end of 90s and early 2000s right now but I lived in those years so luckily I don’t need to go back. I would rather travel to the future!

Do you have any goals you want to accomplish in the near future

I have so many dreams and goals but I’d like to keep them in secret 😉

Please give us some advice to WhatIWear members about fashion 🙂

My advice for WhatIWear members is to dress for their body and shape, to know what their best features are and to accentuate only those, to always add a little twist: either by adding a color or a print, mixing in a new  material or anything small but unexpected like a hat or gloves. We told you, she’s a lovely girl J and we just fell more in love with her. So, be sure to check her Venkavision blog, follow and +wow her looks at her WhatIWear profile.
